Being an artist who prides and tags himself a Pan-Africanist, Ghanaian Afro-dancehall superstar Stonebwoy has on several occasions preached for the unification of Africa. He has campaigned for unity among countries within the continent through his songs.

Speaking in an interview with France 24’s ‘Arts’, the BET Award-winning musician disclosed that he is using his music as a tool to unify humanity, especially black people.

According to him, getting his people unified through his music gives him a great deal of joy, adding that it makes him feel useful.

Stonebwoy is currently in France promoting his new single ‘Your Body’ and preparing for the release of his 6th full-length studio album. After winning the TGMA 24 Artiste Of The Year Prize, he flew to Paris, attending the Pharrell Williams Fashion Runway and other events.

Also during the interview with France 24 in Paris, Stonebwoy described his global takeover from Ashaiman as “Inspirational”. He also described the Ashaiman city as one of the cities in the country that embodies people from all walks of life.

He opened up on his musical journey and his humble beginnings in Ashaiman, one of Accra’s leading and rapidly-growing cities.

Speaking on the multiple awards he has won in his career including the BET, TGMAs and his recent Artist Of The Year ultimate prize, he stressed that they show how consistent he has been in the industry.
