SZA Becomes Fourth Black Woman to Gross $100m in a Single Tour 

American singer and songwriter SZA joins Beyonce, Tina Turner and Rihanna as the few black women breaking boundaries and setting paces in the global music industry.

SZA has in a historic feat become the fourth black woman to gross $100 million in a single tour, joining Tina Turner, Beyonce and Rihanna.

According to data provided by TOURING DATA, the singer earned the highest-grossing international concerts of her career on April 23-24 and 26, with $2.042 million each night at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney as part of her ‘SOS’ world tour.

The data further indicated that at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, she grossed $6 million from three shows, at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, she raked in over $5 million, from three shows at Spark Arena, Auckland, she grossed $3 million and Entertainment Center, Brisbane, over $2 million from two shows. Again, in Oceania, from eleven successful shows, the singer grossed $17 million.

Being her second concert tour and first ever arena tour, the ‘SOS’ tour was activated in honor of SZA’s second studio album released in 2022. She held 63 magnificent and unprecedented venue-selling shows across North America, Europe and Oceania. For the first and third legs of the tour, she made stops in major cities across North America, the second leg took place in Europe and the fourth in Oceania.

Released via Top Dawg Entertainment and RCA Records, the second studio album of SZA came out on the 9th of December 2022. It featured top-notch musicians like Don Toliver, Travis Scott, Phoebe Bridgers and the late OI Dirty Bastard. DJ Dahi, Ant Clemons, Babyface, Lizzo, Benny Blanco, Darkchild, etc were some of the highly-profiled and notable record producers and sound engineers who crafted the album’s productions.
