After setting a precedent with their record-breaking 10th-anniversary show at the Royal Albert Hall in 2023, Ghanaian-British band The Compozers are heading to London’s popular venue Wembley OVO Arena.
The Compozers announced the forthcoming and much-anticipated concert through a statement on their official social media platforms in September 2024.
Scheduled to come off on Saturday the 12th of October this year, the band will be joining the list of the few African acts to headline their own shows at the highly esteemed event centre. Announcing the ‘A Night With The Compozers’ show, the band expressed how honoured they feel about it.
The forthcoming concert is part of their European tour announced earlier this year. The tour will see them pass through major cities including Germany, France, Austria and the Netherlands before they wrap up in Sweden.
The instrumentalists which consist of Stephen Asamoah-Duah on drums, Nana Ntorinkansah on the bass guitar, David Ohene-Akrasi on keytar, and Charlie Mensah-Bonsu on the keyboard came through the limelight and dominated the music industry globally after their annual show “A Night with The Compozers,” which premiered in 2013, one of their notable achievements.
Known as the Unsung Heroes of the Afrobeats genre, the band have not only promoted and pushed the genre but added touches to the live performances of mainstream artists such as Davido, Asake, Tiwa Savage, Diamond Platnumz, Sarkodie, etc. They have performed at various spacious and popular venues including London’s 02 Arena, cementing their legacy in the industry.
