Songstress Tyla is at the BBMAs for her debut performance, and she says she will be thrilling patrons with ana Amapiano song. According to her, she will also be incorporating South African dance moves into her performance.

Speaking in an interview at the ongoing Awards ceremony airing on FOX TV and Amazon Plus, the ‘Water’ hitmaker said she did not expect when she first got on the Billboard charts.

”Honestly, when I first got on the Billboard charts, I did not expect it at all, like I was just happy that my song was doing well, and then I saw the announcement, and it was, like, literally sunk in at that moment. So I don’t know, it’s just been really cool to see my name there and my songs there, and see how far my music is spreading.”, she said.

The singer continued ”Usually starts with like me, my best friend and my choreographer, like, we all like tight friends, and from there we have, like, an amazing team that helps me put it all together, and we rehearse, and I don’t know, it’s just very fun, like a family, especially, because, like, I’m a perfectionist, like, I like rehearsing and getting things like, tight I work with Lee-ché a lot. He’s from South Africa, an amazing choreographer and a good friend of mine, we love just incorporating, like, our South African moves and vibe to our performances, and also, like for “Push 2 Start,” we tried, like, a new type of style that I really like, and, yeah, I’m just excited to incorporate both in the performance today. My friends always amp me up and, like, I do my warmups, I stretch. So it’s literally, like, a party on sets or on, like, before we get on stage all the time.”

Tyla expressed excitement to perform an Amapiano song at the ceremony . ”I’m really excited that I’m performing an Ampiano song, because I don’t know, like, if there’s been an Ampiano performance on Billboard. So I’m really excited about that, and I just want people to feel the vibe and just have fun with it.”
