Tyla’s song “Water” has won the 2024 Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance. Asake and Olamide, Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, and Davido with Musa Keys were also nominated in this category, which is being introduced for the first time.
Three brand-new categories, including Best Alternative Jazz Album and Best Pop Dance Recording, will make their Grammy Awards debut in 2024. One of them is Best African Music Performance. Kylie Minogue was the winner of the latter honor.
“Water” will be featured on Tyla’s self-titled debut album, which drops on March 22.
