While beach festival season is always slower off the mark on Ghanaian soil, over in Accra, the countdown to Africa’s biggest beach festival Tidal Rave is on. From its live music performances to the unique festival breeze and beach vibes, the Tidal Rave aesthetic has been through a lot since the festival’s first year in 2013.
The maiden edition saw different dresses and body jewels saturate the beach and its environs but the past few years have ushered in a more stylish (and, in some ways, more relaxed) approach to beach festival dressing.
Following the outfits that were spotted at last year’s edition, I believe ravers would wear more beach dresses that will not only make them look impressed but also elevate their beach vibes and experiences. Guaranteeing excellent talent, a star-studded guest list and spectacular style, the event promises a lot to get excited about.
Whether you’re jetting off to experience it for yourself, or if, like me, you just want to live vicariously through some Tidal Rave-worthy outfits, cut your planning time in half and read on to see the outfits I’ve whipped up that get the biggest beach party seal of approval.
To look classy at this year’s edition of the biggest beach party in West Africa, patrons can embody the island spirit with floral patterns, colorful sarongs, and leafy accessories. Patrons can also shine like the ocean’s treasures with shimmering scales, seashell bras, and underwear and ocean-inspired tails.
Attending the event in beachy keen outfits, Hawaiian shirts, board shorts, vibrant swimsuits and rash guards would also make ravers stand out and have an elevated beach vibe. Accessories such as sunglasses, beach hats, seashell jewellery, or floral garlands will add more sauce to the appearances of attendees.
Sandals, flip-flops or beachy boots will make movements easy for patrons and make their experiences more fun and worth remembering.
