Wizkid and Bloody Civilian have been honoured as musicians that contributed to the Grammy-winning album “Bob Marley: One Love.” The 67th Annual Grammy Awards saw the album, which included reworked versions of iconic Bob Marley songs, win Best Reggae Album.
Bob Marley’s team took to social media after the victory to express gratitude to the musicians who contributed to its success, and that included Wizkid and Bloody Civilian.
The 10-track album revitalizes timeless songs such as “Is This Love,” “Natural Mystic,” “Exodus,” “Waiting in Vain,” “Three Little Birds,” “One Love,” and “Redemption Song.” Bloody Civilian begins the album with her rendition of “Natural Mystic,” while Wizkid offers a fresh rendition of one of Marley’s most well-known songs, “One Love.”
The project also features singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez, soul artist Leon Bridges, country music star Kacey Musgraves, Grammy-winning R&B artist Daniel Caesar, reggae artists Farruko and Shenseea, Skip Marley, Bob Marley’s grandson, and more artists.
