In an interview on France 24 during her 2nd performance at the Femua Festival held in Abidjan, the ‘Johnny’ hitmaker disclosed that her collaboration with Magic System “was not just purposeful for the AFCON but a legendary moment for myself and my career”.
She further described it as a “beautiful thing to finally meet and record with them because I have always been a fan of their music”.
Yemi also mentioned Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo, South Africa’s music icon Yvonne Chaka Chaka, who will be honoured at the 2024 Legends & Legacy Music Awards as well as All-Time Grammy-winner Beyonce as her role models and inspirations in the music industry.
