Award-winning musician and finest female vocalist, Yemi Alade has unveiled the official tracklist for her ‘Rebel Queen’ full-length studio album.
The singer treated her fans and music lovers with the tracklist of the album through her official X platform.
Unveiling the tracklist, the ‘Johnny’ hitmaker tagged the project as her best body of work yet.
‘Rebel Queen‘ is scheduled to arrive on the 26th of July 2024. A listening party in honor of the project had earlier been held in Lagos.
An inspiring record ‘Tomorrow’ off the project had earlier been released as the lead single. The album is carved out of creativity, artistry and lyrical prowess as it features music powerhouses such as Ghanaian Afropop star Kidi, Reggae – dancehall superstar Konshens, multiple Award-winning act Angelique Kidjo, Ziggy Marley, etc.
Speaking on the 16-track project, she said;
“I’ve always charted my course and walked the path less traveled. ‘Rebel Queen’ embodies this spirit, blending the new and old, the familiar and the unexpected.
“The 16-track album will take listeners on a sonic journey across Africa, showcasing diverse tempos and rhythms, with features from acclaimed artists from around the world,”
The “Johnny” hitmaker also revealed ” Each song is a unique capsule of my thoughts, melodies, and a truckload of nostalgia.
